County Blooms Art Exhibit

Take in local artist Nancy Taylor's County Blooms art exhibit exploring wildflowers from around the county including blue bonnets, and of course, red poppies.

Who We Are

The Williamson Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and proceeds benefit the museum's educational programing. The  Museum offers free and exciting hands-on educational programs to the public through innovative exhibits, tours and outreach.  We also host the following annual events: "Chisholm Trail Days" at San Gabriel Park and "Pioneer Day" at Old Settlers Park.
March 18-19, 25-26, April 1-2, 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30- FREE Courthouse Tours

Meet at the Museum and get set up with some of our wonderful tour guides and take a trip back in time as you tour our historic County Courthouse. Tours start at 1:30, 2:30 & 3:30pm on Friday and Saturday. Tours are free, last about 45 minutes and are handicapped accessible. Please call ahead if you have a party of 7 or more, or to schedule a private tour 512-943-1670.

Don't miss wonderful paintings of local wildflowers at Nancy Taylor's art exhibit! 
April 1- First Friday
We won't fool you this First Friday! Join us on April Fool's Day and see our new Schools exhibit, new paintings from Nancy Taylor, and enjoy light bites and drinks from 6 pm to 8 pm. 
April 9- Hands on History

Lincoln Shot, Lee surrenders: Experience life during the Civil War and what people wore by making your own pocket watch at Hands on History! This is a free, come and go event from 10 am to 2 pm.

April 13- Salon at Wildfire

Colonel Shelby Little will speak on “Sons of Confederate Veterans - a Heritage of Honor.” Including a project documenting stories of Williamson County Veterans. Seating is first come, first served, the talk starts at 6:30 pm.
